Toomey Opticar Bolsters Management Team

Mixed fleet solution provider Toomey Opticar has beefed up its management team with the appointment of former SANYO Europe front man Peter Eldon as its new Managing Director with former MD Jim Salkeld taking up the role of CEO.

Eldon, who had initially been appointed by Toomey Group to develop a sales and marketing strategy for Opticar comments "I have never had the opportunity to work in a business with such a powerful product proposition in Optifleet. The sales potential is such that I am confident that the profile of the business can be significantly enhanced. An exciting period lies ahead."

Previous Managing Director Jim Salkeld now becomes CEO. This new role will see Jim more involved in the promotion of the Opticar and Optifleet brands and representing Opticar and the Toomey Group at industry and government level.

Salkeld comments: "These changes are the next natural step for Opticar. Our mission is to deliver a bigger business to the Toomey Group over the next 3-5 years by maximising the potential that exists. We are delighted to have someone on board with Peter’s experience to make it happen."
